The operator's perspective
Records do not always arrive together. Questions cross the parts counter, service desk and shop floor. Understand the process first, then choose a practical improvement: configure a compatible existing tool, adapt a tool already built or create custom software for the shop's needs.
Tools and practical help
Selected tools built include Shop Command for everyday shop management, Surplix for preparing surplus inventory for resale, and LeaveBoard for time and leave management. Custom software and automation have a separately agreed scope and quote. The fixed-scope operations pilot, implementation, diagnostic assistance and optional coaching or Parts lookup setup retain their own service terms. Diagnostic assistance does not require a pilot purchase.
Evidence before conclusions
Start with source records. Agree the scope. Keep decisions with authorized people. Document the handoff. Check compatibility, permissions and required access before promising a configuration or integration. A flagged record is a question to investigate, not a claim of lost profit or permission to bill.
A local starting point
For the operations pilot, initial site work is considered at selected shops 10-25 straight-line miles west, southwest or northwest of ZIP 60156. The actual address and availability are confirmed individually. On-site diagnostic service-area fit is checked before accepting work; there is no separate diagnostic travel surcharge.
