Confirm the fit

Discuss the operational concern, available source records and the person who can approve the work. Check what existing tools can do and where a change would help. Choose whether to configure a compatible tool, adapt something already built or create a custom solution. Resolve missing records, permissions or decision-makers before starting work that depends on them.

Scope a custom tool

For custom software or automation, agree the features, integrations, acceptance checks, hosting, support and quote before work begins. Shop-branded delivery can be included in that scope. A custom build is separately quoted; the operations-pilot and two-workflow implementation prices do not promise an open-ended software build.

For an operations pilot

The $1,500 pilot covers one location, one agreed export format, up to 60 repair orders, 100 supplier/credit lines and 20 source-linked exceptions reviewed. Timing is ten business days after usable records arrive. It includes one practical control, written instructions and staff handoff, not an audit of the whole shop.

Review together

The pilot includes one scheduled local visit of up to two hours for discovery OR handoff; the rest is remote. Initial local visits are considered at selected shops 10-25 straight-line miles west, southwest or northwest of ZIP 60156. Agree the actual address and timing before purchase. Staff check the evidence and decide what action, if any, is justified.

Make the next decision

The pilot may find zero recoverable amounts. Decide whether implementation of two agreed workflows is worthwhile based on the work and evidence, not a guaranteed recovery. Implementation is $6,000 total including only the $1,500 base-pilot credit. It is a separate decision, not an automatic next purchase.

Add focused help only when useful

Same-visit diagnostic coaching is an optional +$395 service; Parts lookup setup is separately optional at +$400. Agree the topic, platforms, access and full visit duration in advance. The normal pilot instructions and handoff are already included, so optional work must add something genuinely different.
